WAFCON QF3: Cameroon vs Nigeria – Prediction & Betting Tips

Match Preview 

Cameroon and Nigeria set off to make headlines in the WAFCON 2026 quarterfinals as the two highly successful sides face off. Both teams have shown incredibly strong performances up until now, and with a place in the semi-finals and a FIFA 2027 qualification on the line, there’s all to play for.  

Cameroon arrives in the knockout rounds as Group D winners after completing the first stage without a single defeat. They started with a 2–1 victory over Mali before edging Ghana 1–0. Their final fixture ended in a 1–1 draw with Cape Verde, leaving them on seven points from a possible nine. While not a spotless showing, they are certainly setting the bar high. 

Nigeria, on the other hand, started their title defence on a shaky note, with a surprise defeat against Malawi that put them under some serious pressure. Luckily, they managed to turn things around and improve their form with two victories over Zambia and Egypt, leading them through to the quarterfinals.  

Either way, each team is in good form, or else they wouldn’t have made it to the quarterfinals of WAFCON this year. Cameroon is performing better than ever, but the Super Falcons are still 10-time title winners, and will no doubt put up a fight to continue that trajectory.
