South Africa got their World Cup campaign off to a disappointing start, suffering a 2-0 loss to co-hosts Mexico in their Group A opener.
Bafana Bafana are drawn in Group A alongside the Czech Republic, South Korea and Mexico. Following the defeat, Broos faced heavy criticism from supporters, many of whom questioned his tactical approach after he opted to start the match with a five-man defence.
To make matters worse, South Africa finished the game with nine players after both Sphephelo Sithole and Themba Zwane were shown red cards, leaving Broos with additional concerns ahead of the clash against the Czech Republic.
Speaking ahead of the match against Czechia the Belgium international said people should just shup up because he knows what he is doing.
“I’ve been 40 years coaching and I know that there is a part of the job where you are criticised,” Broos said to the media.
“So, for a moment I’m criticised but people have to know (especial) for those who still don’t know it. I do (things) my way, and I never listen to the trash of the social media.
“I never listen to people, who sometimes think they are important and they have to criticise the team.
“So, whether I’m going to see what they did before, I think it’s better that they shut up.
“I know what went wrong, we had a briefing two days after the game of Mexico. The players know it and that’s the most important thing. For the rest I will do it my way.”
Broos and his troops are coming in this encounter under pressure as they must win to keep their hopes alive to qualify for the round of 32.
The kick-off is scheduled for 18:00 South African time and the match will take place at the Atlanta Stadium.
