When Is the Draw?

Tournament Format & Key Dates 

96 players, including the wildcards and qualifiers, enter the main draw of the Internazionali BNL d’Italia on Tuesday, May 4th. The main draw starts the following day.

Seedings Explained 

Seedings are based on the rankings released on 4 May. These determine the potential matchups later in the event as the top 32 players in both draws will be seeded. These players receive a first-round bye, which means they enter the tournament in round two.  

Qualifying Rounds 

Before the main draw can start, 48 players must battle it out through a two-round qualifying tournament. Only 12 men and 12 women reach the main draw, making these exhilarating qualifiers. Qualifying takes place from the 4th to the 5th of May.
