NBA Finals 2026: The Knicks vs Spurs Game 2 

The NBA Finals 2026 continues with game 2 between New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs. The Knicks are leading the series 1 – 0 after beating Spurs 105 – 95 in the first game and will be looking to take full control of the series.  

Both teams last met in the NBA Finals back in 1999, and the Spurs won the championship. Knicks would be looking to redeem themselves after showing why they have been one of the best teams in the league this season.

The Spurs need to win game 2. They cannot afford to fall 2 – 0 behind heading into a difficult stretch of away games.  

The team will be relying on Victor Wembanyama to lead the way after the young superstar showed flashes of his brilliance in Game 1. The Spurs will also need more production from their supporting cast if they want to level the series. 

If the Knicks secure another win, it can put them in a good position before they go to their home court. They will try to stop Wemby from taking control of the game while the Spurs need to find a way to contain the Knicks’ top scorers.

The NBA championship is at stake, so expect another high-energy competition. The Knicks might have confidence after winning game 1. From what we’ve seen with Spurs in the Western Conference finals, they are capable of bouncing back from difficult situations.

Prediction 

Now that we know that Spurs are famous for their comebacks, it’s possible that the series could be a tie. If Wemby and the team could improve their shooting, it might work to their advantage.
