Everton v Arsenal – Preview, Predictions and Best Bets

Everton face Arsenal in the English Premier League on Saturday night.

The Toffees have won four of their last six matches. The Gunners have dropped points in three of their last six EPL matches and have drawn their last two matches vs Everton.

Match: Everton v Arsenal
When: Saturday, 20 Dec 2025

Everton Form

Everton were on a run of one win in eight matches, but they’ve since turned their form around. Their last six matches have yielded four victories. They beat Fulham 2-0 at home and won 1-0 at Man Utd. That win came despite playing 77 minutes with ten men and facing 25 shots.

A 4-1 home loss to Newcastle was followed by successive league wins. A 1-0 victory at Bournemouth was followed by beating Nottingham Forest 3-0 at home from just 11 shots. Their last match saw a 2-0 defeat away at Chelsea.

Everton Team News

David Moyes is without Jarrad Branthwaite and Seamus Coleman in defence due to injury. Idrissa Gueye and Iliman Ndiaye are away on AFCON duty with Senegal.

Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall are both carrying hamstring problems. The latter is ruled out, whilst Grealish has a chance of being fit.

Everton Motivation

The Toffees don’t care about possession or playing style. They will look to be hard to beat and intense in their approach.

Moyes will try to nick a win, but a third-straight draw against Arsenal would be seen as an excellent result.

Arsenal Form

Arsenal have won 15 of their last 18 matches in all competitions. The Gunners thrashed Tottenham 4-1 and beat Bayern Munich 3-1 in the Champions League. They could only draw 1-1 at ten-man Chelsea before beating Brentford 2-0.

A last-gasp 2-1 defeat away at Aston Villa was a blow. They’ve responded with two wins. A 3-0 victory over Club Brugge was followed by a very late 2-1 win at Wolves. They needed an own goal to secure the three points in a game where they outshot their opponents 16-3.

Arsenal Team News

Arsenal are without Gabriel, Cristhian Mosquera and Ben White in defence due to injuries. William Saliba is back from injury and Riccardo Calafiori returns from suspension.

Kai Havertz and Max Dowman are injured in the forward areas, but all the other injuries in attack have subsided. Leandro Trossard and Martin Odegaard could return to the starting XI.

Arsenal Motivation

The Gunners will see nothing less than a win as a good result. Their gap over Man City in second spot is just two points.

Arteta’s side are fresh from a rare full week off. That should yield an intense, attacking approach.

Key Stats
