Bulls XV vs Cheetahs: Preview and Predictions 

Round 5 of the 2026 Carling Currie Cup Premier Division heats up as the Vodacom Bulls XV takes on the Toyota Cheetahs on Sunday, 16 August. The Bulls currently sit at the bottom of the log with 3 points, while the Cheetahs sit in second place with 16 points.

The Bulls XV will be desperate to finally get their first victory of the 2026 Currie Cup campaign, and their narrow defeat against the Pumas shows they can’t be written off. 

However, the Cheetahs have been the more consistent side so far. With three wins from four matches and 16 points on the board, they have built considerably more momentum heading into Round 5. 

Playing at Loftus Versfeld could give the Bulls an advantage, but the Cheetahs’ current form makes them the stronger pick. Expect the hosts to put up a fight, but the Cheetahs should have enough quality to come away with the win.
