Rio Takeda

In 2024, Japanese golfer Rio Takeda secured her inaugural LPGA title by dominating the Toto Japan Classic on home soil. Although it was a notable achievement, many top players were absent from the event. The 22-year-old Takeda returned this season determined to prove her competitiveness. She subsequently added a second LPGA title by emerging victorious at the Blue Bay Open. This win was more convincing, as she surged into the lead during the final two days of the tournament. In major competitions, Takeda excelled, finishing tied for second place at the US Open. Meanwhile, she finished tied for fourth place at the British Open.
