Team News 

Zimbabwe 

Zimbabwe are expected to keep a similar lineup after their impressive performance in the opening T20I. Their bowling attack has been the biggest strength during the series, with Richard Ngarava leading the way. 

The left-arm fast bowler has enjoyed a remarkable few weeks against Bangladesh. After making an impact in the Test series and playing a key role in the ODI victories, Ngarava continued his excellent form in the T20 opener, finishing with outstanding figures of 4/26. 

Blessing Muzarabani also remains a key player for Zimbabwe, offering pace, bounce and the ability to take wickets during important moments. 

Captain Sikandar Raza will once again be expected to provide leadership with both bat and ball as Zimbabwe look to close out the series. 

Bangladesh 

Bangladesh head into the second T20I needing improvement in almost every department. Their batting struggled during the first match, with the chase never gaining enough momentum. 

The team is also missing several important players, including Litton Das, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Hasan Mahmud, who were released to take part in the Lanka Premier League. 

Taskin Ahmed returned to the squad following an injury to Mustafizur Rahman and impressed with the ball, conceding just 22 runs from his four overs. He will be one of Bangladesh’s main threats as they look to fight back.

Players to Watch 

Zimbabwe – Richard Ngarava 

Richard Ngarava has been one of Zimbabwe’s standout performers throughout the series. The fast bowler has consistently troubled Bangladesh’s batters with his pace, accuracy and ability to strike at key moments. 

After starring in the Test and ODI wins, Ngarava showed he can make an impact in the shortest format too, delivering a match-winning spell in the first T20I. Zimbabwe will be hoping he can continue his incredible run. 

Sikandar Raza 

The Zimbabwe captain remains one of the team’s most experienced players. Raza’s ability to contribute with both bat and ball makes him a crucial figure in pressure situations.
