South Africa vs Afghanistan

Lungi Ngidi starred for South Africa, picking up four scalps for 31 runs.

The Afghans lost their opener against New Zealand by five wickets after posting 182, with Gulbadin Naib posting the team’s highest score of 63 off 35 balls.

Recent stats show the flat pitch in Ahmedabad is likely to be high-scoring, with a first-innings score of close to 200 very likely.  South Africa will look to David Miller and Tristan Stubbs to continue their good batting form.

Afghanistan will rely on Rashid Khan and Fazalhaq Farooqi to strike early and stem the runs early in the power play on a pitch that suits the batters.

The Proteas head into the clash as favourites based on recent form and they have a perfect record against Afghanistan in the three T20 matches.

The English scraped past Nepal in their opening match of the T20 World Cup, beating the Asian minnows by four runs.

They face a much stronger opposition in the form of the West Indies at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

England head into the match with five wins in as many encounters, while the Windies have two losses from their last five T20 internationals. The Islanders did comfortably beat Scotland in their opening match of the tournament. Shimron Hetmyer top-scored with 64 from 36 balls.

The English have a formidable team, and the toss and pitch conditions will be important, particularly if there is assistance for spinners or grip for slower balls.

From a batting point of view, look out for Jos Buttler and Harry Brook in the English side and Nicholas Pooran to cause damage for the Windies.

England’s Adil Rashid can be effective against aggressive middle-order hitters, while Akeal Hosein offers control and wicket-taking potential in key overs.

The 2022 T20 World Cup winners are the favourites for the win, with the English total likely to be OVER if batting first.

At the other end, the Windies could find themselves UNDER runs during the powerplay as they’re susceptible to losing early wickets.
