July’s Top Five UFC Knockouts

Variety was the spice of life inside the Octagon in July, writes Quintin van Jaarsveld as he selects the top five UFC knockouts of the month.

Fighters showed off the art of eight limbs as they scored finishes with their hands, feet, elbows, and knees, making for a memorable month of action in which fans learned to expect the unexpected.

Tabatha “Baby Shark” Ricci celebrated Shark Week with a sensational knockout when she crumbled Amanda Ribas to the canvas with a rare up elbow and finished her off with ground-and-pound at UFC Abu Dhabi.

Welcome To The Top 10

Bogdan Guskov punched his ticket to the light heavyweight top 10 when he took out Nikita Krylov on his business trip to Abu Dhabi.

5: Still Pretty

Model-turned-fighter Islam Dulatov took no damage and showed that he’s got some pretty hands when he dropped Adam Fugitt with a perfectly timed check left hook and finished the job on the ground at UFC 318.

4: Body Snatcher

Hometown heroine Carli Judice lit up New Orleans when she stopped Nicolle Caliari with a crushing knee to the body at UFC 318. In doing so, she became the first female fighter in UFC history to earn finishes by kick and by a knee, having defeated Yuneisy Duben with a head kick knockout in March.

3: So Fly

Mike Davis got the job done in the Music City as he caught Mitch Ramirez by surprise with a flying knee and finished his trapped foe with a flurry of punches.

2: The King of Kung Fu Comes Up Big

Heavy underdog Muslim “The King of Kung Fu” Salikhov pulled off a stunning upset as he produced a vicious one-punch walk-off knockout to crush Carlos Leal in just 42 seconds at UFC Abu Dhabi.  

1: Birthday Bash

Fatima Kline celebrated her 25th birthday and kicked off UFC Nashville in style as she murked Melissa Martinez with a head kick in the third round.
