Match: Chelsea v Everton
When: Saturday, 13 Dec 2025

Chelsea Form

Chelsea are winless in four matches right now, with two losses and two draws. After winning 2-0 at Burnley after the international break, they gave a fine performance to beat ten-man Barcelona 3-0 at home. A 1-1 home draw vs Arsenal came with a man less for the second half as they performed admirably.

Three poor results have followed. The Blues lost 3-1 at Leeds in a deserved defeat. Last weekend, they drew 0-0 at Bournemouth in a toothless display. In midweek, Chelsea were beaten 2-1 away by Atalanta in the Champions League.

Chelsea Team News

Coach Enzo Maresca remains without three midfielders in Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia and Dario Essugo. Cole Palmer did not travel in midweek, but he should be fit to start this one.

Centre back Levi Colwill is out with a long-term injury, but Wesley Fofana should be fit to start. Liam Delap is injured up front with a shoulder problem.

Chelsea Motivation

The Blues need a win here by hook or by crook. The season needs to be saved by some points on the board.

Enzo Maresca’s side will try to control and dominate the match. Right now, energy levels are low and they may drop back if leading in the second half.

Everton Form

Everton are in great form right now. They had found themselves on a run of one win in eight before that. Following a 1-1 draw at Sunderland, they beat Fulham 2-0 at home. A fine 1-0 win followed at Man Utd despite playing 77 minutes with ten men and allowing 25 shots.

A shock 4-1 home loss to poor travellers Newcastle came next. Everton have since won successive league matches. A 1-0 win at Bournemouth saw just five shots allowed. They beat Nottingham Forest 3-0 at home last weekend from just 11 shots.

Everton Team News

Both Jarrad Branthwaite and Seamus Coleman are missing in defence. Idrissa Gueye and Timothy Iroegbunam return to the squad after their suspensions. Gueye could start, so Carlos Alcaraz would drop out.

Thierno Barry is carrying a shoulder problem in attack. He should be able to play this match, otherwise Beto could take his place.

Everton Motivation

The Toffees won’t fear Chelsea right now. They can go to Stamford Bridge and try to win.

Moyes’ side are not possession-focused. They will drop off and frustrate Chelsea.

Key Stats

  • Chelsea are winless in 4 matches (2 losses, 2 draws)
  • Chelsea have won 5 of their last 7 home matches
  • Everton have won 4 of their last 5 matches
  • Everton have lost 4 of their last 6 away matches vs Chelsea (16 goals conceded)

Verdict

This will be a very tight game, ending in either a narrow Blues win or a draw. Backing a win by a one-goal margin for Chelsea offers great value.

Best Bet: Chelsea win at 1.75

Value Bet: Chelsea to win by exactly 1 goal margin at 3.40
