Whether it was in Paris, San Antonio, or Perth, the world’s best mixed martial artists produced punishing performances and highlight-reel finishes.

We witnessed two elite assassins shoot their shots for title opportunities, a veteran Octagon warrior being put down for the final time, and up-and-comers make a name for themselves with their skillful savagery.

Without further ado, check out the month’s top knockouts:

5: Chop Suey

Kaue Fernandes mercilessly chopped down short-notice opponent Harry Hardwick with brutal leg kicks that left him unable to continue in Paris.

4: Artistic Annihilation

Body work can be an art, as Axel Sola showed when he broke down veteran Rhys McKee in his outstanding Octagon debut at UFC Paris.

3: On Cloud Nine

Carlos Ulberg made it nine wins in a row and made a strong case for a light heavyweight title shot when he decimated Dominick Reyes in the first round of their main event clash in Perth.

2: Kill Shot

You get elbows and then you get hellbows, and Modestas Bukauskas landed the latter just before the end of the first round to starch Paul Craig and send the Scotsman into retirement at UFC Paris.

1: Making Him Pay

In a wild UFC Noche main event, Diego Lopes closed the show in stunning fashion, punishing Jean Silva for his overzealousness by landing a spinning back elbow that cut and dropped the Brazilian and finished him off with some follow-up shots.
